scenes from the weekend

this doesn't even begin to show the beauty of this temple. it had some of the prettiest (if not the prettiest i've ever seen), temple grounds. nate looked dashing as part of the wedding group. portland was seriously so beautiful. we were so happy to be there to support some of our very best friends. saturday we spent the day exploring the city of portland. thoughts- we felt like "normal" people were the minority haha, dirty, and yet beautiful all at the same time. I didn't know there were rivers all over and it is so green, my camera doesn't do justice for the scenery. we had a great time at a famous bookstore, explored their saturday market on the water, and walked to our hearts content. we really had a great trip...until next time.

"rodeo"

today i was pleasantly surprised by the song that got me to finish strong on my run. Garth Brooks- "Rodeo." i was literally sprinting through the chorus.

what songs make you run fast?

p.s. tonight i'm going to a real rodeo and i can't wait!

p.p.s. i guess judging by my last post that the hair choice is bad...haha i'll probably try it anyways!

procrastinating

i decided to blog so i don't have to do homework...school is draining me right now, i hate summer school! i completely forgot to blog about this. hallie's blessing, such a precious little girl. we always have such a great time with our families. nate & anders= best buds if you haven't yet checked this out (pinterest), you really should. when i first saw it i thought, ah another place for me to waste my time, i really don't need that. but i really like it, it's quite fun to keep inspiration i see on the web in one place. although yes, it is still a time waster. if you decide you like it, make sure you follow me here. oh and while you are at it, please go here and tell me what you think. I am seriously considering the "chop the hair off, again." leave your honest opinion in the comments. thanks friends!

hope everyone is having a great week!

make these

I made one of my best dinners yet last week. The vegetables were cooked perfectly, the chicken was tender, and the velvety-like gravy was incredible-top all that off with biscuits on top...ya it was that good. It really was not that hard to make either. Here is the recipe. While you are over there, make sure you follow this blog. Photo is from her blog.

I also made homemade poptarts.  They were a lot of work, but so yummy.  Here is the recipe and a few photos.
